At Advanced Dental Techniques we care about

x-rays. This new technology allows us to
get more information from each film than
traditional x-rays because computers allow
us to magnify images, zooming in on anything
that we find that may be suspicious. It
also allows us to more accurately look at
teeth. In addition, patients benefit because
they are exposed to almost 90 percent less
radiation than those taken with conventional
film.
A digital x-ray system is
computer based and produces instant images
of excellent quality. Instead of holding
a small film to a light and trying to see
things, images are viewed on a high resolution
computer monitor. The images are large,
crisp and clear and can be manipulated to
give even more information. Creating a 3-D
image, colorizing the film by density or
improving contrast is a click away. This
helps us provide a better diagnosis and
results in better treatment outcomes. |
